On my northern Italy romantic tour I will definitely include the city of Pavia, not only because it is worth visiting, but also for its exquisite cooking and wine. This province is known for rice production and rice based meals (risotto). In this town there are 80 different ways to prepare rice. My favorite local wine is their red Bonarda.
