Naviglio cruise Next you will see the most important groups of buildings along the canal, including the old church, the bridge and the wash-house of San Cristoforo. On the way back, passing under the bridge called “Scodellino” (small bowl) which takes name from the nearby taverns, the boat will enter the Dockyard which once was a fully operational port used for trading with Lake Maggiore. The cruise proceeds into the Naviglio Pavese thanks to hydraulic device, the famous “Conchetta” (small basin) lock, recently restored to show a practical demonstrations of how it works.
